What's New(er): Extended Functionality With Applications!

With its rapid and iterative releases, the features and functionality of Raiser's Edge NXT continually grow at a regular clip. With a new feature released yesterday afternoon, you can now use additional functionality enabled by applications created by Blackbaud, providers in the Blackbaud Partner Marketplace, or other approved developers — even someone at your own organization!

 
These applications securely access your Raiser's Edge NXT data via the Blackbaud SKY API, so you can do more with your constituents and fundraising efforts. To use an application, admins can enable it using its unique ID, acquired from the developer or Blackbaud Partner Marketplace. (Admins! To enable and manage applications, select Control Panel, Applications.) Once enabled, an application can access your data, and everyone at your organization — with appropriate security group rights and permissions — can use it. Interested in developing an application using the SKY API? Simply sign up for a free developer account, which provides access to industry-standard and open REST APIs that extend the functionality of Raiser's Edge NXT. Upon approval, you'll receive your own SKY API subscription key. With this key, you can register your applications and enable those you develop for your organization.
