According to the 2021 Blackbaud Charitable Giving Report, end of year giving accounted for 29.3% of overall annual funding last year. As your organization heads into this generous time of year, you’re probably looking for ways to nudge donors to give even more. If so, consider using the latest web components feature in Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Web components are visualizations you add to your website that show progress towards fundraising goals. From Tools, Website components, you can create:
  • Key metrics – Goal statistic fields for amount raised, number of donations, percent of goal, and amount remaining
  • Goal meters – Custom progress bars that show how much you have left to reach your goal

For each component, set a goal, select a gift list to track progress, and then embed the component on your website. As donors give towards your goal, the component dynamically updates showing the impact of their gifts. For details, see Website Components.

The best part of this feature is that when you reach your goal, the component shows celebratory confetti!

    Really great to have something visual that we can use to encourage donations, but when setting up can you explain what the Gift List part is?

    Agreed, I'm not clear on the Gift Lists bit either.

    Not available outside USA.

    For those outside the USA looking to use this feature, I've just spoken to a member of the BB Support team who informed me that Website Components are

    Currently only available in the USA as this feature requires Online Giving which is at present USA exclusive. Online Giving is a different type of donation forms that are more customizable. There isn't an ETA for when it will arrive outside the USA but it will be coming over, the date hasn't been set yet.
