What Year Is It Again?

Published

Happy New Year, everyone! Have you gotten used to writing 2020 on everything yet? I know I haven’t. I may have even written 20120 by accident the other day (but you can’t prove it).

Along with practicing writing 2020, make sure to take some time to update the copyright dates in your Luminate Online email stationery and Page Wrapper footer. Nothing says “We haven’t updated our content in a while” than a copyright date of 2019—or even worse, 2018 or earlier.

Want to save Future You time? Instead of updating your copyright date to the new year, use an s-tag. To do so, find where you want to include the current year and enter [[S9:pattern:yyyy]]. This snippet of code will work if you use the Content Editor (WYSIWYG) or if you enter HTML directly. Just note that if you’re using the Content Editor, once you save, you will see a little gear icon and the word Date instead of the s-tag code.

With an s-tag, your copyright dates will automatically stay current for years to come. So take some time right now and make those updates. Future You will thank you!
