backup email notification triggered by vb script is failing after email migration to the cloud

Hello,

I hope someone can help with the following:  I am writing on behalf of the Episcopal of Kansas Diocese, currently using the Financial Edge/Blackbaud financial software.  They have had backups setup and running for sometime now, at least 4 or 5 years.  We recently migrated their email from an on-prem exchange 2010 server to the Office 365 portal.  They used to receive email notifications to 3 email addresses when the backup job completed.  Since the migration, these emails have not been received.

After further research, the email notifications were triggered from a vb script on the server.  I have tried to update the vb script to include the new mail server for office 365 and the proper port.  However, the email address that the email notification is sent out from is not currently setup in the new office 365 portal.  So the attached error occurs.

I called Blackbaud support line, and was directed to submit this issue here for further assistance.

Can someone help me to resolve this issue, either by updating the script to send out from an already existing email account: labeled administrator, or resolve this issue or tell me how to resolve this issue if it needs to be done either on the domain controller, or office 365 portal?

Thank you,

Yvonne
