Creating Roles in RENXT

We are brand new to RENXT and I am being asked to set up Directors dashboards, give access for them to enter action items, enter info/interactions w/donors, track action items, and mark them as solicitors. I am unable to attend online training sessions until I complete the basic RE training (almost finished). How do I set up Roles and what are some examples of the type of roles some of you have created?
