Questions for those of you now using online recommendations in Enrollment Management

So when you switched over to the new Enrollment Management recommendation forms did you also sill have a back up version on paper/pdf?  If so were you able to pull it from Enrollment Management or did you have one that may have a different design?  What has worked best for schools?

  • We started using the online form this year and so far it's made the process so much more efficient.. We streamlined our original Teacher Recommendation Form to create the online version and then used it as a template to create a fillable PDF form which is posted to our website as a back-up. So far, most of the recommendations that have come back from teachers have been through the Enrollment Management online form and only a few have been received via email using the PDF form.
  • Hi Julie,

We switched to the Online recommendation forms and it has been very friendly for us, as well as the teachers who fill it out. As a matter of fact, we now require 3 recommendation forms per student (Math, Language Arts and Administrative) and we have been receiving them all. Our old paper recommendation was filled out by just one person and sometimes the teachers didn't have access to information such as disciplinary actions so this was a good opportunity to streamline and capture better information. We have the old paper form as a PDF but we have not had to use it at all. Given that so many teachers are working from home without access to printer/scanner, they appreciate the very simple link to fill out the online form.

The online forms used some of the language/rating/matrix from the paper form, but for us, it was easier to completely redesign the online forms.

    Good luck!
  • We also use the online forms and they have been wonderful. The teachers no longer have to download, fill out, scan and upload. But we do have a printable application on our website for those few families who prefer paper.
