Are you currently using Enrollment Management Event Registration?

Hi there! We're looking to speak with a few schools who are currently using Event Registration to get some preliminary feedback on what you like, what you hate, and what enhancements you'd like to see. If you're interested, please respond here and I'll reach out!

thank you,

Sarah

  • We use it! ?

    Thanks!

  • Sarah - oo, oo, pick me, pick me! :-)

Pre-COVID we did use Event Registration for the three open houses (one for each division). And we use other software for many, many other recruitment events. Would be delighted to provide feedback.

    Thanks,

    Lauren
  • We use it and are trying to use it creatively for non-event type billing items. We would love to talk with you.

    Thanks,

    Kate
  • We use it for our open houses and use the School Website Event registration forms too for school clubs or ways of making payments for various items like ads in yearbooks, field trips and more. Yes there are lots of changes I would love to see.
  • I would definitely be interested in providing preliminary feedback!
  • We use it for all of our admissions events. There is definitely some room for improvement. Thanks!
  • We use event registration for a lot of things during normal years. But now we are still mainly using for Admissions Tours (virtual this year). The signup is a little clunky when the people don't exist in the system and are coming in from the outside. Since it's not tied to a student already, the input flow is awkward. It's hard to attach siblings. Event Registration information collection is generally cumbersome when families are trying to do things that "count" for multiple children. We use the regular event registration for after school activities, parent events, and stuff that we don't need a lot of information but need to collect money.

  • Hi Sarah,
We do use Event Registration. If I am not too late, I
    would love to participate.

    Thanks,

    Linda

  • BGA uses it.
  • We use it for all of our admissions events. Visually, it's pretty basic, but it does the job and I agree with some of the other comments that it can be clunky to create and edit, but overall it works for what we need.
  • We use it and I'd love to participate if I'm not too late. Thanks for doing this!
  • We use it and our feelings echo others: it is okay, yet would welcome improvements. Would be happy to chat further!
  • If it's not too late we'd love to provide feedback. We use it regularly and find it's in need of an overhaul and would love to work together to develop a fresh registration module.

Sarah Bienvenue‍ - we use it for our open house registration. We'd love to see something with a "modern" look such as what is offered with Typeform or Paperform.
  • We have been using EM Event Registration for the past two years for various events and would like to offer feedback/suggestions.
  • Hi, Sarah.

Although I have long missed the opportunity to participante in your discovery around Enrollment Management Event Registrations, I did recently come across a problem with the way they work that made them a problem for our school. We have multiple campuses (aka school divisions) so we have a "Oak Lawn Elementary School - Second Grade" and also a "Tinley Park Elementary School - Second Grade". Although the ON Suite generally handles multiple school divisions well, the existing Enrollment Management Event Registration forms do not. When a parent goes to register a candidate for one of our events, we use the "Entering Grade" field as one of the candidate fields we collect during the registration, however the form displays duplicates grades in the pull-down menu ("Second Grade" and "Second Grade") because of our two campuses, and parents and we are not easily able to distinguish between which campuses they are interested. Customer support acknowledged the problem and said there was no work around at the current time. They suggested that I create an idea within the Idea bank which I did (https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12OB-I-2119). Please vote! However, my ask to you and your team is to please add school division to the "entering grade" pull-down menus in the EM event registrations. It is absolutely necessary for schools like ours to see "School - Grade" and not just "Grade" to avoid any duplicates in the list. Thanks! Geoffrey Goodfellow
  • Hi Geoffrey Goodfellow‍ , that is wonderful feedback, thank you for the reminder! We can certainly update the current event registration now to get it in a useable state for you and will make sure new event registration has what you need.

    Thank you,

    Sarah
  • If it's not too late I would be interested in joining the discussion. We attempted Events Registration last year for the Open House and found that it was clunky, that it created duplicate candidate records, that we couldn't get an accurate rsvp list and count, and that we couldn't bulk update attendance on the candidate checklist. We ended up having to switch to Google forms because our experience was so bad. Perhaps we set it up wrong? I'd love to get some help on this, though support didn't seem very knowledgeable which is why we ended up dropping it.
