Recurring appointment entry in student attendance

Some of our students attend weekly recurring appointments (counseling & speech). Is there a way to enter a recurring appointment for students in attendance (appointments are set at the beginning of the year and will continue throughout the school year on the specified day at the specified time)?

Ex;

John Smith meets with Mrs. Apple (speech & language) every Tuesday from 8:00am - 8:45am. We are currently entering each individual weekly appointment, daily, by period, which makes for a lot of unnecessary data entry. Some days we enter up to 70 appointments.

  • Following! This would be super helpful for us, as well. Thanks for posing the question, Germaine Koczur‍.
  • Maybe use Advisory to create schedule sets that repeat weekly and then you can link those to advisory "sections" that correspond to the dates/times they meet. I believe you can hide advisory groups from anyone but the student / teacher so taht its not visible to all parents. We use this for our Plus (advanced elem), Passport (gifted MS), and ESS (special ed) small groups and it works well.

    Also, Depends on how you are "scheduling" the rest of your classes too. In elementary, we only schedule HR on a schedule for attendance purposes. We dont rotate or schedule spelling, math, reading..... By using advisory, it would be pretty easy to separate these meetings from standard school day rotations.
