For my position, my main focus is fundraising. I would love to talk to you about moves management and acknowledgements when you have the time.

Hi Tami! I grew up in Salem and am there often. I would love to talk to you about acknowledgement letters and duplicates. I have found a lot of duplicate addresses and phone numbers I can't get rid of because it is attached to an online sale. Do you have this issue?

April - You can change the delivery options on a sales order to link the order to the “correct” address or phone or email and then you can delete the duplicate one. However, this is very time consuming and as far as I know needs to be done manually. We have decided, for the most part, to leave all the duplicates on the record and just make sure that the primary one is clean with proper capitalization, etc. Some records end up with 5 or 6 different addresses that are all essentially the same. This mostly happens when people type in their own address during an online sales transaction.

123 Main St, # 1
123 Main St. Apt 1
123 Main Street, Apt. # 1

These would all end up as separate addresses on the record. I would. mark one of them as primary and then we have an address type of Duplicate that I put on everything else.

I have found a duplicate phone number that I can't get rid of because it's tied to an online order. It hasn't been a big problem, so I don't have a good solution for you on that.

What do you want to know about acknowledgment letters? I have the system set up to email donors under a certain amount. Donors over that amount get a printed letter. We also have different letters depending on which designation it was for.
