Was there a recent change in the API, we're getting an error around record not found or don't have view permissions

Something changed in the system that has resulted in the below error. Did anyone have the same issue? This happens when we tried to view, update the vendor record, or we we tried to add an invoice.

"The specified record could not be found. The record has either been deleted or you do not have rights to view it."
