Tracking Annual Fund Participation by Class

Hi, any way to track parent annual fund participation by student class? I am looking for 1st grade – 89% – $23,000 pledged. Double counting participation for families with students in multiple grades would be ok. I could run the dollars numbers separately if need be. Thanks.

    I'm looking to do this too and would love to hear suggestions. Right now I'm considering adding a “class of” tag to each profile to use as a filter, but would really like to see if there is a simpler way.

    @Trent Smither Just a thought about adding tag/attribute/coding. I'm higher ed so pretty much just deal with graduate of class XXXX.

    If I had to identify class of students I would use their expected graduation year from your school, be it 12th, 6th, etc. So if a K-6th school and I'm a 2nd grader this year, my code would be 2027. IMO, this would be easier to edit the few changes needed annually vs. having to do a change of every student every year. If I did use current grade as a code, I would be sure to pick a field that could be globally changed.
    Just some thoughts.

  • @JoAnn Strommen what is your current process?

    @Trent Smither

    I can use a query criteria of “class of XXXX” for any reports of that type I need.

    We use parent percentages (participation only) for our Family Challenge in the Fall and for our annual report at FYE. I use the Parent Class Analysis in Analytical Reports (database view). The report can show all the classes the parent has students in. Adding a class year to parents can become very confusing when you pull reports. The only thing I have to cross check is solicitable parents vs # donors.
