How to deal with uploads of individuals who are working for an organization to avoid duplicates

Hi everyone,

Sorry I feel like this is such a dumb question but in our “legacy” system, we have an organization attached to a primary contact (the organization must have a primary contact to be created, unlike NXT). We also have individuals contacts, that are not the primary, that are attached to that organization (they are employees). What is the best way to prepare for upload:

a. have the organization listed as organization + 1 primary contact attached to them. If yes, how do we record the others - as individuals? where/how can we attach them to an organization?

b. have the organization recorded without individual attached to it. If yes, how do I attach all the individuals (i.e. employees) to this organization?

c. something else. Please advice.

  • @Aurelie Busollo I think you can add the employees as individual constituent records and then attach them through the relationship tab in the organization's record. This will link them to the organization.
