Share Emergency Contacts between Siblings

When school starts back up, we plan to try using the Emergency Contacts Form to collect this information. In testing, it looks like this has to be completed separately for each child in a family. There are multiple Ideas that have been submitted (see below - most are marked “Under Consideration”), and in 2023, Jessie Walters commented that the work was planned but there have not been any further notes.

Assuming there won't be any updates to the Emergency Contacts Form before this fall, does anyone have any best practices / things to avoid when asking families to complete the Emergency Contacts Form? Anything we can do to make the process clear and easy will help us collect this critical information. Thanks for sharing your tips and experience!

Posting a comment in the hopes this gets more visibility… now that school is underway, we are once again working to gather updated Emergency Contact information for all of our students which is essential in an emergency.

Two of the Ideas were posted in 2015 and one in 2018, so they have been around a long long time. (There's another one marked "under consideration": https://blackbaudk12.ideas.aha.io/ideas/K12CO-I-522

Does anyone know when Blackbaud is going to revisit and implement improvements to Emergency Contacts? (And if you are a user, please vote on these ideas!)
