I’m excited to attend my second #bbcon this year. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I attended my first one several years ago, but it was amazing! Blackbaud did a great job of having areas and activities that made it easy to interact and network with other attendees and vendors without feeling uncomfortable.

With all the change and planning our move to NXT, I’ll be attending with a co-worker this year and we are both excited to learn new things.

I love the friendships I have created (we all keep in touch with each other throughout the year). I also love that we get together and share ideas and procedures with each other. Special shout out to @Audrey Kidwell (who I met at #bbcon a few years ago) for always sharing all things Grantmaking with us. The #bbcon community is so inspiring! I always leave #bbcon feeling so proud of what we do in the philanthropy world and full of ideas on how The Imlay Foundation can continue to impact the Atlanta community.

I continue to return to BBCON because it's a great learning experience and a phenomenal place to network. I often describe it the way I describe my college experience - the classes are great, but it's the experiences and shared community outside of the classroom that make it a definite on my yearly calendar.

I know I've said this in previous years - bbcon fuels me for the year until the next bbcon. It keeps me going - it keeps me relevant. It allows me to get to hang out with some of my favorite people. It allows me to sharpen my skills. It feels like home. For those of you coming for the first time I can't wait to meet you!

This will be my third bbcon. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet our counterparts at other schools who use the same products and follow simliar procedures while also learning from them since many of them are presenters! It's also a wonderful team-building experience with my colleagues since it's outside of the routine work environment.
