New Assignment Experience Early Adopter Program

Hello Everyone -

My name is Mike and I'm one of the Product Managers working on the Blackbaud Education Management set of products.

Our teams have been working on building new features over the summer, and we're excited to share one of those features with all of you! It's an update to both how teacher create assignments and how teachers grade assignments. Both of these experiences are getting a user experience overhaul to help create a more ergonomic, less click heavy workflow.

We're in the process of recruiting for our early adopter program (EAP) and getting some schools playing around with the new feature before we release it completely. If your school is interested in participating in this EAP, feel free to use the scheduling link below. That link will let you set a meeting time for us to discuss the EAP in more detail and confirm if your school would be a good fit for participation.

Here's a quick sneak peek into the feature, and some of the enhancements you can expect with this update:

  • Additional preferences, so teachers can configure default values when creating assignments.
  • A connection between your schedule and the assignment creator, so teachers don't have to continuously update/change the Due Dates and Times.
  • A simplified user interface, reducing needless scrolling and visual noise.

If this is of interest to you, use this link here to schedule a meeting about joining the EAP.

We have more updates coming, and we're excited to share them with you in the future!

-Mike

Thanks for the information today! My users are wondering if this feature can be implemented for a select group of users to test, or if it would need to be enabled for all faculty during the EAP period.
