Best Way to Track Activity

Just wondering how you all track various activities, such as phone conversation, site visits, etc.

My team was adding a "Note to File" but that is hard to filter.

Thanks!

  • Hi, we utilize the Requirement record function and updated the "class and type" classification table to match our activities. We then create dashboards so program officers know what's on their upcoming to-do list. It works great as long as staff are good about marking the activity "done" so it clears it within dashboards. We also use Requirements for progress reports, final reports and to ensure we receive grant agreements. Overall staff appreciate the ability see what's outstanding, overdue and upcoming.

  • Interesting idea @Natalie Smith. We've been trying to use the "Activities" section. Seems too obvious, doesn't it? But filtering an activities search, specifically the notes field, doesn't always give us the results we think we should see.

  • Hi, Valerie. Activities and Requirements are two different types of records and searches. If you dive deeper into the Requirement record type and leverage Blueprint I think you can do exactly what you're looking for. Good luck!
