Moving Classes to Corrected Courses

ELA standards for high school changed in Georgia this year, requiring updated courses with new course codes. The teachers were already teaching the correct standards but the confusion is due to the names of the new courses being the same or similar to the names we used for the previous courses. They didn't realize we had to have new courses due to the change in course codes. So students were added to the previous courses instead of new courses. We are 3 weeks into the school year.

To correct this, we have hidden the correct course enrollment from the students while the teachers transfer the assignments and grades to the correct course. On the 29th, we expect to have everything duplicated on the correct courses so we can swap out the ones the students and parents see. I will be printing out the gradebook by teacher as well as the attendance to ensure nothing is lost before removing those from the incorrect courses. We want a seamless transition for our students. The 29th is a remote day so it gives us wiggle room to do it. What, if anything, have we not thought of? If you have had a similar situation, how did you handle it?
