Options to Restrict Parent Messaging for Activity Groups

Hello All,

We’re in the process of expanding our use of BBEM to manage campus activities, including clubs and other organizations, and we’ve run into an issue about communications settings.

Specifically, we’d like to restrict certain activity groups so they can “Send Communication” to Students only — not to Parents. At the same time, we’d like to preserve the ability to “Send Communication” to Parents and All for Academic, Dorm, and Advisory groups.

Is there a way to configure BBEM so that the Parent & All option is disabled for Activity Groups only? If not, is there a way to add a report that lists all parents for the students enrolled in the Academic, Dorm, and Advisory groups to the “Run Roster/Student Reports” option? That way, the group leader can copy and paste the email addresses for their use.

Otherwise, we would have to create so many advanced lists, one for each group since users don’t have an option to filter on the groups by themselves using the advanced lists. Unfortunately the basic list does not offer good filtering options.
