  • My feedback is that Blackbaud has still not provided organizations with the necessary administrative controls to manage user accounts ("Online Info"), and I am disappointed that this continues to be unresolved. Despite dozens of support tickets and ongoing correspondence with Blackbaud, there has been no meaningful improvement.

    I frequently have to rely on workarounds just to help visitors log in and purchase tickets, and this directly impacts my organization's revenue. If I had the ability to quickly reset a password or unlock an account within Altru, these issues would be resolved in a fraction of the time. This concern has been raised repeatedly and marked as “reviewed” on the Altru Ideas page, yet CRM administrators still do not have access to these essential controls.

    I have submitted this issue multiple times on the Ideas page, consistently voted for similar posts, reached out directly to Blackbaud, and raised it during every product update briefing. My questions about this have never been acknowledged by Blackbaud.

  • Overall, I’m encouraged by some of the updates, especially the ability to send a payment link to Group Sales clients. However, I left the product briefing feeling quite disappointed.

    In a previous CRM I managed, there were monthly product briefings that consistently highlighted new features, enhancements, and tools, with a clear emphasis on acting on client feedback. In comparison, Altru’s briefing felt underwhelming. With these sessions occurring only twice a year, the slate of new features felt very limited.

    Additionally, the webinar was scheduled for an hour but ended after only 30 minutes, and my question in the Q&A was never addressed. As a newer Altru client, this experience was disheartening. It often feels like Altru is a lower priority within Blackbaud compared to higher-profile products like Raiser’s Edge, and that our feedback doesn’t meaningfully inform development. This is frustrating, especially for organizations that rely heavily on Altru and want to see it continue to evolve.

  • I have been looking forward to the ability to send a payment link to Group Sales, but it does not seem to be any closer. It would be nice if there were more useful updates, rather than just improvements in the background.
