Tips for concessions items

I need suggestions on how to handle concessions purchases. My bookkeeper wants every single item used in concessions in our inventory. Understandable. But...when we make pizzas we use several items (cheese, crust, sauce and so on). Another example would be a kids meal (hot dog, chips, dessert...). Is there a way to bundle inventory so when someone purchases a kids meal it can reduce the inventory number for all items? 


Additionally, how does everyone handle their bar and inventory for mixed drinks? Thanks in advance!

  • I'm curious if you've already started using Altru for your concessions?


    There are great POS systems for concession stands.  Altru is not one of them.  It was not built to handle all the variabilities of unpackaged foods (coffee with cream & sugar, coffee with two sugars, coffee with soy milk, etc.)  To answer your question - no, there is not a way to bundle inventory.  


    We don't have a cafe, but I know a few Altru users who tried to find workarounds to make it work for their cafe.  Ultimately they determined that all the workarounds they tried still did not give them what they need.  


    Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.  :(
