How do I set-up Consent to reflect current Solicit Codes?

While I understand that an integration with NetCommunity will allow a Business Rule to add a Solicit Code to a record, I would like to know if I need to do something with current Solicit Codes?

Also, I'm wondering how many different Consent Categories are needed? It seems like these are the "groups" that are sent, but there should be several different ones in place if planning to differentiate an Annual Giving Solicitation from a Newsletter.

Has anyone seen any free webinars on the use of this that they can share?
