Best Practice: Naming Campaigns

How does everyone list their Campaigns in Raisers Edge?  Do you list them with or without a year?  Any other naming conventions we need to be mindful of? 


I have several years worth of old campaigns and would like to clean up our data so that it's consistent and clean going forward.

    We don't have years in our campaigns.  


    There are actually a lot of past discussions on Campaign/Funds/Appeals structure and naming.  I suggest you search here for some of those as well.

    in all my years working in RE I have never had years on Campaigns.  Reporting is date driven anyway so this is a redundancy that does not help in my POV, but clutters.


    There are many discussions in the community, long ones, and the pros and cons of naming conventions for Campaigns and Appeals more specifically than Funds, since Funds is really directly tied to your business office that helps you dictate some sort of coding that works for both departments.
