Membership Renewal URL

I need to know if I'm using the correct URL for member renewal when I send emails via the member renewal templates....Can someone send me the link?  I'm a bit confused as I think I'm using the wrong one - one that just goes to our membership page.


Is the renewal link something very specific...or not. TIA

    I'm going to test it when I get a chance...thanks! I assume I have to be...a registered member to use it, correct?  When I manually type it out it just goes to my org's home page

    The link ONLY works when it is included in a membership renewal email. The reason for this is that the membership renewal process adjusts the UR as the email gets sent out to append the URL link to include an encoded value that informs the Altru Web form on the information that should be displayed on the destination Web form.  So, for this reason if you click on the link directly or even if you include it in say the  Altru Appeal email process, it will not work - it will send you to the web page you have selected as the redirect destination for an invalid form ("Home Page URL" in the Web module). It only works with the renewal reminder email process.

    I wish there was a way to send a test
    email.  I get so embarrassed when I send the email and the
    alignment is messed up even though in the preview it looks centered
    etc.  The same with this link, I’d like to test that theory
    before I send it out to the masses.

    though i haven't done it, i thought in the knowledge base there was an article outlining how to test an email...it wasn't easy and what i was looking for at the time, so i breezed by it...probably had to do with using exclusions and universes?  from the template, marking so it only goes to you...

    with that idea in mind...i'm not sure i understand the seed concept - it that just for paper mailings?


    i am able to see what my letter's look like when say  a member responds and carries with that email the renewal email underneath, if you know what i mean...maybe they ask a general question right when they get the notice...

    Hi all! Does anyone know if this link can be exported out of Altru?


    Alternately, is anyone sending e-renewals outside of Altru through a third-party e-mail service like MailChimp or Constant Contact?
