non constituents Revenue

Can anyone help how to add revenue of nonconstituents using the import process in CRM? Which batch to use?

Comments

  • I would recommend against doing that, since it's very difficult to look at non-constituent records in the system.

What sort of non-constituent would you be accepting gifts from?
  • Thanks Rick. Suppose someone who is not an existing constituent donated money , How will I include that in CRM using the Import process. I don't mind adding them as a new constituent. But Enhanced Revenue batch is allowing only existing constituents. So need suggestions on how to do import process for new constituents.
  • Oh I misunderstood what you were meaning by "non-constituent", as Blackbaud CRM has records in the CONSTITUENT table that are referred to as non-constituents... ie Educational Institution used by the edicational history tables.

I'm no expert on Gift Processing, so I can't really help!

Hi Soma, you can import new constituents into an enhanced revenue batch. You'll need to map the constituent data to the New/Edit constituent collection field. This will add new constituents and also match to existing constituents based on the constituent match settings of the import process.

    Hi Soma,

You will not see a New/edit constituent field when adding or editing an instance of the enhanced revenue batch template. This is available for import and is a collection field which captures the constituent information (see attachment). You can find this when utilizing an import mapping template or when mapping the fields in the import process.
