Hi, 

I am looking for suggestions for planned giving appeal/mailing query.  Who are you sending to? Major donors, donors with longevity, new donors? Just brainstorming here so that I don't miss any constituents.  Thanks so much for your thoughts!

    Hi Veronica: I usually create the following segments to target in my database:
    • Recurring donors (5 years +)
    • Donors who are 55+ years old (we have birthday and age records for some)
    • Direct Mail and Newsletter donors who have made a donation at least once a year for 5 years or more
    • Volunteers (most of our volunteers are retired seniors)
    • Major donors (with a more personalized invitation from our Major Gifts Manager)

    To piggyback off of Michelle Tribe‍'s awesome suggestion - make sure to run your Age Finder module (if you have that) BEFORE you do age queries... it will save you a lot of kicking yourself later.... you know... not that I know anyone who's made that mistake.
