Automated Email to Ticket Purchasers

We are trying to set up an email that will be sent out to non-member visitors so we can encourage them to become members. Ideally this would be an automated process not utilizing the ticket purchase forms/etickets. Has anyone else set up something similar? Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Whitney,

We have something like this but unfortunately, it is not automated. Instead, our Membership Dept uses a query to see who has purchased tickets but doesn't have a membership and we send through our email client (myEmma) an email letting them know the benefits of becoming a Member with a link. I am not sure the frequency and they may offer a discount but that is based on the month and where they are in their marketing plan.

  • I did this with an appeal for a short discount on membership deal.  Since reopening 07/02, I sent an email to anyone not a member that visited that day offering them to return as a member after joining using a discount code.  I did it all through Altru's Appeals and package, etc.  It wasn't automated but it wasn't really difficult.  In the window I sent it + the number of people that received it the offer did ok!  Again, this isn't really answering the question - nope, couldn't automate it...though I thought of sending it as a process/job everyday - I think I set that up but turned it off b/c.
  • Sorry, and this appeal went out to actual VISITORS - or to the ticket buyer's who had their tickets scanned...so they knew us, had concluded their visit.
