Implementing a sign up form in Online Express

Has anyone implemented a sign up form in Online Express who could share tips and tricks?

    Yes, we are looking to add the sign up form code to our website. As we prepare to handle how we process the sign ups we receive, I was wondering if there were any issues others ran into that we need to take into consideration or any unexpected results with how it was indicated on constituent records.

    The new email signups will appear in the OLX Plug-in via database view.  You will need to manually review/process the new signups, either connecting them with an existing record or prompting the system to create a new record.  It should be noted that the signup form only collects a first name, last name, and email address; if you have any required fields on a constituent record beyond these three fields you will be prompted to enter that information prior to saving the record. A shortcut to aid in this additional entry can be found under: Account > Integration Options > Constituents; you can load (or create) a Default Set for Ind/Org records, and this will fill out additional required fields on new records for you.


    In terms of where the information is recorded on a Constituent record, the email sign-up date and time will be recorded on the Attribute tab, along with the URL the form is embedded on.  If you have Consent set up to communicate with OLX, the sign-up will also be recorded in a consent record.
