Donor Reports and proper way to list Non-Graduates

I'm in the process of creating an annual donor report (first one I've worked on for a university) and I'm looking for best practices when it comes to listing non-graduates in donor reports. If the student left or withdrew before graduating, we code the record with a constituency code of "Alumni - Non-Grad". But I'm wondering if it's appropriate to include their class year next to their name in donor lists for annual reports? If there's already an answer to this somewhere, please send me in the right direction! Thanks, in advance.

    I'm guessing this is one that varies from school to school. We (an independent high school) include class years for graduates as well as non-graduates in our donor recognition reports. They are listing in our alumni section with their class as well as in other sections with the tags. We treat our non-graduates the same as our alumni across the board so for us this makes sense. It is how they connect with us and our class agents reach out to them as well.


    It is still important for us to be able to separate them when necessary. Mostly when completing surveys for outside entities that do make the distinction.
