edit constituency code of soft-creditee

We received a gift from a DAF. Gift processing added new constituent records to capture information about the couple who directed the gift. After the gift was processed (we do not post to GL), we learned that the couple are parents of a student. Is it possible to change the constituent code of soft-creditees at time of gift? I know that it's possible to go into the gift record and edit the constituent code for the donor receiving the hard credit; however, the drill down to edit the constituent code for the soft-creditees has me stuck.

    If they created record for those soft-creditees, can't you just go to record for that person and change it there? 


    I'm a bit unclear if you are wanting to change constituent code on constituent record or gift constituency on the gift. Gift constituency is part of gift record on donors record. I don't think there's a gift constituency for the soft credit.
