Add Zoom link in confirmation emails

We had set up confirmation emails for an online program, that included the Zoom link. After hearing from folks that they did not receive the link, I signed myself up and the confirmation email just included the receipt grid. Are we not able to include links in confirmation emails?

  • Did you set up an ack/confirmation for each event? I'm curious why this would not work.
  • Hi Ellyn,

This happened to us once when we set the confirmation message but forgot to mark "Enable." As a backup, sometimes we have a confirmation message living at the program level just in case we overlook something and there isn't one set at the event level--this thanks the registrant for signing up and lets them know to get in touch because the link was not embedded (I learned quickly that the priority levels of confirmation emails are 1. Event, 2. Program, 3. Default).

We also use the Marketing & Communications tab with an Appeal based on a selection of registrants for each program to send an email reminder the morning of the event with the Zoom link again and that has worked well.

Best of luck with your registration process!

  • Thanks Blair and Christine. It could have been user error, lol. I like the idea of using an appeal to send a reminder and link.

    Hi Christine,

I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. When sending your Zoom link emails, are you using a generic public link for your Zoom events (where anyone with the link can watch)? Or, does each individual have to register through Zoom and have an individual link?

I would assume since you're sending a single appeal email that it is the one Zoom link. If so, do you have issues with capturing who attended your Zoom event? Does the report that Zoom gives you after the event tell you who attended and their email addresses?

We want to be sure we can go back to our event registrants and "Mark Attended" or not, do you have the information you need from Zoom to do this with your organization's process?

    Thank you!

    Olivia
