A/B emails in Campaign - not showing on Constituent record

Hey Everyone!

Before I submit a ticket, I thought I would ask here first. We have found that when we send A/B tests through BBIS using Campaigns, that the email is not recorded as being sent to the Constituent. This is a problem at least for me, as then they are excluded from the "final" and it looks like they didn't receive it at all, but in actual fact they did receive it.

Is this functioning as intended? Have you seen the same thing? Or is there something funky going on with our system and we need to connect with BB to get things fixed?

Thanks!

I tend to recommend against using Campaigns in BBIS. It's a bit of an older part of the system, and it's a feature inherited from NetCommunity.. and RE/BBNC do not have the benefits of using something like a Marketing Effort with Email Packages from BBCRM. Things like A/B tests from Campaigns, and even the Conditional Content option in BBIS Messages, do not really track properly against constituents and make it very hard to compare responses and the like... Instead, doing this via segmentation using segment splits ('test segments'), and varied messages within a set of Email Packages is much better in the long run if you're looking to analyse the success after the fact.
  • Thanks Chris. I had never thought of using Marketing Efforts with Email Packages in that way....but don't know why I didn't. Duh. Makes sense. Definitely going to explore and try it out.

    Thanks so much!
