Database view fields not available in NXT

If you haven't discovered it already, you will. There are fields used in RE database view that are not currently available/viewable/useable when in NXT.

If you've found one of these fields, please post. As Blackbaud has not provided such a list, this can serve as a reference for those asking about specific fields. Goal: make us all more effective in data entry and save time.

I spent over 30 minutes with chat support only to have them 'have to get back to you' when I asked about one specific field. Final answer "no it's not."

Earlier post from Catherine Burns‍: ...you should not plan to use any of these. e.g. Action Notepad Type - all action notes added in webview have type "Added via RE NXT" so I would not bother adding any other values to this field in database view. Action Notepad Title is also not visible in webview. Address Info Source is another. I

I'll add as missing from web view
Region

found same place as Address Info Source in db view.

However, I just discovered that Address Info Source is now visible. You have to click on "view details" next to an address to see it but it is accessible. Region still is not.

HOH is not available in NXT - if you 'marry' someone in NXT add their spouse, neither is marked as HOH like required in db view.

We can see HOH on the records. It's right under their name once in their record.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. As discussed in the link post, there is no option to select HOH when creating spouse records in NXT.

Yes, it's displayed for records from db view that contain the info. If records are linked via relationship using NXT, HOH is not displayed or an option to select on either record.

Was wondering if it was difference between US and UK version. I do see screen like you posted, Rachel, when I open relationship for records that came from db view. But not when creating relationship.

I tried to create a spouse relationship in NXT and it was the same screen Rachel posted.

I had tried it several times but didn't get the option for HOH. I know thread was from last fall but it still seemed to not be possible for us.

Here's the thing about this. I figured this out yesterday. The spouse has to be a constituent. You can't set a non-constituent as head of household. So if the spouse is not set as a constituent, and only has a spousal record, you can't set them as head of household. So if you are creating the record, the option doesn't appear, as far as I've seen. The record has to already been created to set the HOH flag.

Yes, HOH doesn't apply unless both are constituents. Doesn't show as option in NXT for us when 'marrying' two constituents.

We use the "Region" field quite a bit. Have you transitions your "Region" info to a different field so you can use it in NXT?

I am considering making it an attribute/custom field, but I don't know if there is a dumb tax with that.

what have you considered or done for this?
