Preloading Invitees to Event

I have tried preloading invited constituents to an event (either by global add or import) so that we can keep track of the people we invited. When we open registration and process RSVPs in OLX, as soon as we download the registrant, it creates a new entry in the event (duplicate). I could have sworn we can just link the RSVP to its existing event entry (the preloaded one) before. Any comments/suggestions?

@Bernard Nemis - If you were to create an event form via NXT for your registrations, the system will link the incoming registration to the previously created participant record. However, OLX does not have this capability.

Check out this thread for additional information.

  • Hi, Austen.

Thanks for the response. Thanks for leading me to the other thread. It tells me that other users are experiencing this. I'll respond in detail to that thread so folks who follow that thread can also read it. Thanks again.

  • @Austen Brown Hi, I 'm just cruising here to find out what is happening with the invites. Seeing these questions have been raised back in 2021. The NXT solution is still not perfect. I have just uploaded our invite list and as long as a participant buys his own ticket is is working as it should. The problem comes in when they are buying more than one ticket and have guests added. NXT does not recognize the guest names (which all of them were on the invite list) and there is no option to approve or link new entries. My workaround now is that I am going back to the database view, open the event participant and link to the constituent from there. Extra work but keeps my list clean.
