Gift not committing??

I have never had this occurrence before, an OLX batch was committed and ONE gift did not commit. There is nothing on the gift entry that seems unusual, and the gift was disbursed in our BBMS report today.

Any idea of what happened? Solution?

    Did you end up with an exceptions batch? If so, there's a place to look to see the why behind the exception so you can fix it and move forward.

    This isn't an EFT batch, it is a donation he made online. I looked on BBMS and his transaction is there and approved, he made a donation the last few months with no issues, same card.

    Oh I see an exception batch now for that gift, but no reason why it was sent to exceptions

    Double-check that constituent record, fund, any other data like org if gift is on behalf of org or MG is linked. In NetC gifts will not process if a link is missing. Just a possible reason.

    Nothing looks unusual, it is basically an exact copy of his April gift, just a different appeal code, gift date, GL post date... It is not an organization gift or has a MG associated it (to be honest my organization doesn't really use the MG Pledge option, don't get me started!!)

    Is appeal still 'active'? Inactive appeals/funds etc. can cause exceptions. Card processed and there is an authorization code?


    Just trying to think of possible causes. ?

    Thanks to some responses in the FB Group from Heather and another user, It seemed to go through no issues with the exception batch!

    HI, I have one exception in a batch I just validated. Where can I find the exceptions? There is no exception report. The only thing that appears is the control report. Please help!

    When you run the validation, at bottom left of validation window, do you have the option to print exception report?

    It seems the exception was cut off some how, but I have it now. Thank you for your response.

    I had that happen last week too. It was just one gift in a batch of about 20 OLX gifts that didn't commit. I can still see it in the batch, but it didn't commit and wasn't on the donor's record. I too would love to know why that happened.
