Any templates/examples/trainings for using WorkFlow designer to create a Cultivation workflow?
Hello All,
I've been a little stumped with designing a workflow to add in basic prospecting/cultivation steps and actions. I have not been able to find much in trainings/videos/pdfs/etc that would give a good step by step on how to create a basic specific workflow that would help me trigger certain actions (emails, etc) to assist my director in their donor cultivation work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Wayne

PS: I'm currently watching Ashley's Favorite Things: Workflows video and hoping that is helpful. Literally unsure where to start with Workflow Designer, specifically getting past the “constituent” step.

Hi Wayne!
Blackbaud offered a customer success session on this before, and there is a recording of the webinar available here. I don't think this is the same as the favorite things session.
They are also offering another session with the same title on September 28 and 30. I don't know if there will be different workflows demonstrated or not, but it might be worth checking out.

We have three workflows running currently. One for first-time donors, another for major donors and a third is a birthday email that is sent to our volunteers. There are times when the workflow seems to stall and I haven't been able to get a good answer as to why. I just got in the habit every Monday morning to open each Workflow and run my static queries in DB view to refresh everything.

Hi Wayne! Do you have a link for Ashley's video?
Thanks,

John, would you be willing to share those work flows with me? We are going to start setting up workflows and I would love to see what others are doing.

Hi all! I've just started playing w workflows. The first workflow I want to design would add an action to constituents giving over $100. I can't seem to make a functioning workflow starting from Criteria but I can when starting from Lists.
e.g.: Criteria = Constituent gives a gift greater than $100, then add Action. [doesn't work]
vs
List = Filters by any gift amount over $100, then add Action. [works]
*The next obstacle is capturing gifts entered in the past week. So far I've only managed to figure out how to pull by gift dates in the past week.
Can anyone explain to me why my Criteria-based workflow doesn't work? And/or have more tips and tricks for newbies?
