Duplicating or repeating an action - Payment processing reminder help

I have constituents who make a pledge via OLX and set up monthly payments via credit card to pay their pledge. I normally set up an action to remind me to process these monthly payments. Can an action be duplicated when creating one or do I have to do this manually. Any other suggestions as to how to manage these monthly payments is helpful. Note - I am not talking about recurring payments.

    Are they scheduled to be run on specific days, such as the 1st and 15th of the month? I've always known people to put reminders in their own calendar because they can easily be recurring.

    I like that you are thinking this way, and the idea of recurring actions is kind of intriguing. You could experiment with workflows too, perhaps!

    A couple of thoughts.

    • If you have the EFT module, then that should pull even pledges into a monthly EFT/credit card batch, as long as the pledges have a schedule set up. We pull our pledge payments and recurring payments together in one batch. The Auto-generate Transactions feature allows you to choose whether to include pledges in the pull.
    • You can set up Action Tracks (or Workflows) if you feel you need multiple Actions, and if most of you pledges follow a similar structure (such as annual giving pledges that last 12 months). Pull a query of all new credit card pledges through OLX rand then bulk-assign a Track with 12 monthly reminders.
