Can anyone share their messaging to parents on how they were able to transition this constituency to Blackbaud ID? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Noelle - are you looking for examples of communication to parents from schools regarding switching to BlackbaudID? Or examples of automated communications parents may have received from Blackbaud?

    Hi Noelle! we sent out a BBID adoption communication early summer specifically around resources to assist communicating with parents. Here's a partial excerpt from that with links to those resources. I hope it helps! The branding bit you obviously wouldn't send to them but schools had been asking for us to add the branding capability so that it's clear this is still your school's login so was to reiterate if you hadn't set that up yet it may be a good next step.

    "To help you accelerate this process and assist parents with the transition, we’ve put together a Blackbaud ID adoption toolkit:

    • On-demand Blackbaud ID presentation from two schools who recently moved to BBID
    • The Parent Experience with Blackbaud ID recorded demo
    • Blackbaud ID custom branding instructions
    • Family and staff communications conversion template you can modify and send users converting to Blackbaud ID. We also provide a pdf version of the template. Please note this template is not recommended for users that will sign into Blackbaud ID using Single Sign-On (SSO). Blackbaud ID accounts are auto-provisioned for SSO users so some steps in the template and the invitation to connect process do not apply to single sign-on users."

    I posted information about what I did on our system a few weeks ago in the Blackbaud ID Feedback forum. There are several discussions there about what to do with parents.

    We started the transition with current parents last January. The process was complete in about 5 months. (We transitioned them in small batches, so that I wasn't overwhelmed with support requests. That also gave me a chance to tweak the instructions to deal with some of the common questions and errors that the first groups made.)

    Parents of incoming students started with a BB-ID. They didn't know that there is another option. (We don't use Blackbaud's Enrollment Management, so parents of incoming students did not already have an account in Core.)

    Hi there, I reached out to that school to see if they could post in this thread the links since the last 2 would be their materials, I'm not sure what those were. The first 2 - BBID SSO instructions should be in the main support materials which is in the other reponse I posted, the second I'm assuming is this thread on the community but there may be some other relevant ones if you do a search for BBID and parents.
