Downloading Address Book

Has anyone had success with giving participants the ability to download their own address books from the Participant Center?

I'm told by support that it is not possible, but that seems most unhelpful.

    While I don't believe the option exists natively in Luminate Online / Participant Center, I think you could achieve going down the API route. There is a call that works for the logged in user (which they would be in PC) called getTeamraiserAddressBookContacts which returns a list of contacts and some other Teamraiser-specific information. By itself, this wouldn't amount to a downloadable list but there are ways to create a table from the response and then have that table converted into a downloadable CSV file (can be opened in Excel, as an example) and allow the user to download it. It's probably more involved than you were looking for but not out of the realm of possibility.

    Hi Elizabeth - just confirming, were you eluding that there is a way to add a customization to export the contents of the address book in PC3 (we are using currently)? Or just that there is functionality to upload to PC3 from various sources?

    Good morning. The instructions I sent are to import contacts into PC3. It looks like I misunderstood. You want to export contacts out of PC3? I'm very curious about this. Is this a request you get from your participants? Or is this something you are trying to capture as an organization?

    We really just want to give participants the opportunity to download their address books since we're leaving the TeamRaiser product.
