File Size Limitations - Are There Any?

Hi, we use a hosted solution from Blackbaud and use it to store media attachments such as W-9s and Certificates of Insurance for our vendors. Is there any limitation or size that needs to be considered? If I were to decide to store all of our invoices as a digital copy on a vendor record as an attachment, would that be possible?

Thanks,

Stephen Dignam

  • Not sure about the file size bit I save all my vendor records, W9, EFT and invoice information in Blackbaude NXT with no issues.

Jennifer's option is better since you have attachment sections on individual invoices as well as the vendors in webview. Another consideration would be when or if database view is retired vs Webview, you'd likely lose those attachments unless you downloaded them. Here is a KB on the media tab file size, but remember embedding files does increase the size of your DB view database and that can cause hosting fees to increase after 10 GB in size :

  • Hi,

I'm new to FE NXT. By storing COIs in the vendor record, are you able to run a report showing which vendors have COIs or are missing them? I was considering adding a custom field to the vendor record so that I could search on this. Do you have any experience with this?

We use an Attribute field and then fill in the date section with the date that the policy will expire. I use a query I built that I run to check if that field is less than today's date so I know I need to reach out for an updated policy. Hope that helps.
