Grants Management without Opportunities

Hello! I am looking for best ways to manage grants and grant actions without the opportunities feature (we do not have it). Does anyone just use actions and workflows to track their grant activities from application to payment? Please advise!

    Hi @Lilly Caudill - Welcome to BB Community! I recommend you stick to actions since you don't have opportunities. You may also want to take a look at Power Automate to help augment your workflow capabilities within RE NXT - there is a sample flow in the Template Showcase that you could utilize to pass information back and forth between RE NXT and a grants team that works in Planner.     Lilly, we've had a good experience combining NXT Actions with Planner for project management. The flows I have do have an output for Opportunity, but it is by no means necessary. These flows use Microsoft Power Automate (the link for this is in @Austen Brown's response to your post)

    What we've found works is having a slate of Grant-specific action types in NXT that feed to a Planner document (we actually use monthly Planner docs, so we have 12), and a workflow that pulls status back to NXT from Planner--the goal being that things get typed one time only, and that staff who may not have credentials in NXT still have access to project/task management.
