How to Add Nicknames to Individual Relationship ONLY records

Hi, theoretically, I have about 1000 spouse relationship records (they don't have a full constituent record of their own). We decided to be more casual and use nicknames. What would be the most optimal way for me to add the nicknames to the nickname field?

    You can do that as an import: first you'll need to export the constituents' IDs and also the relationship import IDs for their spouse relationships, then add the spouse nicknames to your spreadsheet, then import that back into RE using an Individual Relationship import.

    Thanks, Alan. I will try this out. I could have sworn I couldn't do that since it's not a hard constituent record. But after reading your response, I realized that the relationship IS part of a constituent record to begin with. I will keep you posted!

    You'll use the Constituent - Individual Relationship Import format to export your data and then also to re-import the modified data. You could take the opportunity to update the Primary Add/Sals for your non-constituent spouses too if you maintain those fields for non-constituent spouses.
