Adding Anonymous Giving Field to Insights

I am working on an analysis insight that needs to include whether the constituent gives anonymously. This field is not available in the list of metrics, facts and attributes. Can a data administrator add a data field to the list of facts and attributes that can be selected for analysis?

    @Becky Brockel - Unfortunately, you cannot add a data field to the list of facts/attributes available within an insight. I recommend you make sure the idea to include the “gives anonymously” field in an insight is included in the RE NXT Idea Bank. If you were to track this information in another field, a field included within the facts/attributes section, there is a possibility that you could bring it into your insight - however this is likely to create a lot of additional work to maintain over time.

    @Austen Brown - Thank you for your quick response and giving the link to the Idea Bank. I'm only a few weeks on the job and have decided now is the time to transfer “old reports” into insights and dashboards whenever possible. I like the Tableau/Power BI -like features -just wish I could have access to all the data fields.

    @Becky Brockel - Have you taken a look at Power BI? Blackbaud has provided instructions on how to connect your RE NXT database with Power BI, and there is a dedicated group of users that have formed a Power BI User Group that meets monthly. If you want to learn more, check out this link:

    @Austen Brown Thank you for the invite. I will have to see if there is support for implementing Power BI with RENXT. I am just under a month at this position and with RENXT but will keep this in mind if Power BI would be needed.
