Connection with direction on getting started with RENXT

I would like to connect with someone in the education (college foundation) or similar field that can provide direction on getting started with RENXT. I am new to the software and I only have access to e-Learning. I would like to know the most effective/practical way to start teaching myself. Currently, I am going through BB's e-learning modules that start with “The Basics of RENXT.” I am creating my own manual so that I have a reference point for future. If there is a manual already in place that can be shared, it would also be appreciated.

    @Denise Redick I am not in education, but I found it helpful just to get into NXT and try it out. Look at all the menu options, create some lists, see what the filters and columns are. Also open some records, and see what's on the tabs and what the links are. I also found it helpful to create workcenter for myself to see what all the features are there.

    @Denise Redick Welcome to NXT - some sound advice from @Marie Stark - if you don't have a learning pass subscription to BBU I can't recommend it enough. Also watch for free webinars from customer success.

    @Denise Redick welcome! I completely agree with @Elizabeth Johnson and @Marie Stark. I had to teach myself a lot of things so getting in there is the best way, in my humble opinion.

    As far as procedures, Blackbaud already has a great resource of how-to manuals for everything. Additionally, under the NXT solution here in the Community is a section specific to P&P where other users share their materials.

    The Community is great for searching for answers to questions you might have; that's how I learned a lot outside of the eLearning. Good luck and we are here for any questions!

    @Denise Redick
    Denise, welcome to the Community! As it happens, you can find a pretty comprehensive User Manual for NXT here at this link, as well as this Getting Started resource, provided courtesy of Blackbaud. That being said, there's nothing like hands-on practice with a live instructor to answer questions, like you'll get on BBU.

    Alongside NXT, I recommend digging into database view – it comes with so many more options for deep-drilling reports, queries, analysis, and prospecting. The above user manual is specific to NXT; for database view, you have to piece together various guides from the Knowledgebase. (The Knowledgebase is where I taught myself everything, before I knew about the Community or BBU!)
