Duplicate Adjustment

Hello all,

I have a question. It seems as though an adjustment we did a few weeks back on a donors record has shown up in the adjustment report again just yesterday. Is it possible for RE to post an adjustment twice??

    @Jodi Hofer You should not be able to post a gift or post an adjustment more than once each.

    Did previous report only post gifts and not adjustment? Are the dates the same? Did one report use gift date and the other GL post date? Just trying to think of why it could appear on a list twice. But the adjustment should still only post once.

    Here is what happened. We adjusted a gift from October 2021 last week. We fed the adjustment to Finance. Everything looked fine. I did some adjustments yesterday, 9/22/2022. Ran the Adjustment Post to GL, brought up the report and this adjustment showed up again. So when Finance looks at it, they are off balance because this adjustment went through again. No one has touched this record again in RE since we did the first adjustment last week.

    @Jodi Hofer What do you mean by “We fed the adjustment to Finance.” It doesn't sound like you posted it. If you ‘feed the adjustment to finance’ out side of posting, then you would need to mark the adjustment as ‘Do not post’ as you've already have info in finance.

    @Jodi Hofer - Did you by any chance run the Unpost Plugin on gifts within the last week?

    @Jodi Hofer - Our gifts and adjustments have a similar flow to finance. We use PostOmatic which offers a PrePost mode and a Post mode. PrePost creates a .csv and report for review but doesn't mark them posted in RE. If we feed accidently using the prepost .csv the gift or adjustment is left as Not Posted in Raiser's Edge and can be picked up a second time. Could that scenario fit your problem?
