Flagging Custodial Parents

Hi There

I'm wondering how others flag custodial parents in the contact card. Do you assume that if the Resides With flag is checked for both parents then it is joint custody? If the Resides With flag is checked for both parents, but Primary is flagged then that parent has custody? It seems ridiculous that you can ask for custodial information on the application form, but that information doesn't go anywhere.

    @Kathleen Peak - That's how we do it…resides with denotes custody and if both are resides with and primary is checked it means that they are the primary contact for anything regarding the student. Either that or in some interesting cases, we use the note feature and add a profile notice depending on the situation. For the most part it works without too many issues.

    @Kathleen Peak 1000% agree that it's inexplicable for that info to be gathered in the application and for it to be inaccessible. It's not even reportable in admissions, let alone visible in the SIS.
