Email Personalization

We need to start using personalization in our email subject line and email, but RENXT merge field is limited to the first person on the record and not a joint first names. How do you work around this issue? Do you use NXT Email or a 3rd Party integration vendor?

    @Barbara Kunkel We still use Online Express (OLX) when we need to personalize a bulk email. We use the web view Marketing email when the salutation is generic. Typically we are only personalizing our appeals and since OLX tracks that on the appeal tab it works well for us.

    Curious what others use and looking forward to when they build this out in web view.

    @Elizabeth Johnson - I didn't know you could use both Online Express Email and NXT Email Marketing.

    Unfortunately we still are using OLX for that same reason (and a couple of others)

    We even use a 3rd party vendor sometimes too due to the lack of Merge Fields available even in OLX (why doesn't anyone have merge fields about membership details ?)

    I was sure hoping someone had found a wonderful workaround.
    We have so many cases where we need both spouse's names in any and every correspondence that emails from NXT and workflows can't even be considered. It would upset too many recipients.

    @JoAnn Strommen - That is why we don't personalize, but the email just doesn't have an impact without names. But it would be worse to have only one name and upset our donors.

    @Kevin Hardy - Thanks. I am going to have to look at OLX. I didn't realize we could still use both.
