Change What is Displayed in a Parent Directory

I'd like to be able to edit the information that is displayed in a parent directory. Currently, job titles are displaying for some parents and we'd rather not have that be public. It's also inconsistent. From what I've read, it sounds like that can only be changed user by user in their individual contact card ‘public bio section.’ Which is terribly time consuming. I feel like there has to be a section where I can choose what information displays in a directory for parents. Thanks!

    Hi Becky,

You can change what is displayed per Directory from Core > Content > Directories > select pencil for the Directory (Parents, for example). Then select the Filters tab and you can delete the options you don't want. Similarly, you can use the +Filters button to add other fields.

    Hope that helps!

  • @Julie Horvath thanks for your response! I tried this but it just seems to show as available filters for folks to use to search a directory, not filtering what actually displays in an individual record. Maybe I am missing something?

@Becky Wilson ou can update the profile publish access and remove the fields you don't want visible, as outlined in the link below. You would want to uncheck Job Title from the publish fields from role type: Parent to role type: Parent

Bryan gave you another solution - so that may work for you.
Directory changes do take 24 hours to update. As I recall, that is the one area of the site that requires an overnight refresh.

Perhaps you want to reach out to support and work with them to work through the many areas you can change the view of the directory. I may not be understanding exactly what you need. :(
