(New) Event Registration Options

I am trying to create a registration form for Open House Tours in November. I believe the system is compensating for Daylight Savings Time. I want to put in the actual times that are available, but the system continues to overwrite each time I choose.

Here's my question: If I want a 1:00 PM time slot, do I choose noon and assume the system knows I really mean 1:00 PM or do I keep it 1:00 even though the details keep changing it to 2:00 PM? And what happens to the times I chose once DST ends?

This 15-minute project is now taking over an hour…am I the only person struggling with the limitations in Event Registration?

  • @Jennifer Gallo Oooh…this is a good question. We have been entering dates into November and December ourselves and I never took the time change into consideration. @Kelsey Huijgen, do you know how this will work?

@Jennifer Gallo @Brian LeBlanc we are actually going to be working on fixing this soon! Right now, it's bumping the time an hour forward after you save, so as a workaround until we fix the issue, you can put in an hour earlier when setting up your registration option (ie. if your event starts at 12pm, you can put in 11am, which will convert to 12pm when you save).

I don't know at this time if the fix will retroactively update the times because we haven't gotten in there yet to see what we can do. I would suggest creating a case with support so they can link you to that bug. You'll be notified when it's fixed so you can double check your event right after.

  • @Kelsey Huijgen Thank you for answering so quickly. I appreciate it! I'll open a case.
