Assigning Constituents to a Fundraiser/Solicitor

Hello, Everyone.

Is there a way to automatically have a spouse get assigned to the same Fundraiser/Solicitor as the other spouse? Let's say I add John Doe as a new assignment for fundraiser, Tina Johnson. Is there a way where Jane Doe gets automatically added to Tina Johnson?

Thank you.

@Bernard Nemis I know of no way to have spouses automatically assigned. Could put it in as an idea. At times it would be handy.

Thank you, JoAnn. Makes sense since assigning a constituent to a solicitor means the system is creating a relationship between the two at the backend.
    Thank you.

  • @Bernard Nemis definitely not automatic though I'm sure it could happen with Power Automate.

That being said, I've never done it and feel like it might compromise some of the better aspects of webview. For instance, a fundraisers workcenter will be overwhelming and more difficult to manage with all of the assignments.

It is easy to query for the presence of a solicitor on a constituent or their spouse, which is what I've done. You can export that information too.

I fully recognize that my “don't do it” response has to do with how I was raised, but I do feel like it is more heavy-handed than necessary when it comes to managing data on an ongoing basis.

Hi, Karen. Does that mean you choose either the Head of Household, or the one that has a better affinity with the organization?

    Thanks.

The one with the best affinity to the organization, who was not always Head of Household.
