Anyone else getting thrown out of pushpages without saving if timed out?

I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that if I am working on a pushpage and don't save it continuously, when I eventually save it the system will NOT save it, but instead, returns an error message. I can't tell you how much work I have lost because I got up from my desk to handle something only to return to save my work and get an error message instead. ? Has anyone else experienced this?

  • @Sondra Berry Yes- it's terribly frustating and a colossal waste of time. I reported the issue to BB Support on 9/14/23 and this is what I was told:

    I was able to see the screenshots attached to this other case and I wanted to let you know that our internal team is aware of these type of issues happening within push pages. I will forward your information to the team so they can be aware that your school is experiencing this issue as well and I'll let you know once I find more information.”

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg Commiseration station over here. Having this issue over here too. Hitting save only returns an error message. I think I've tried to complete our weekly newsletter half a dozen times today already, and even more over the past few weeks. Really frustrating. Hope to see an update here soon.

    Yes, our Communications team has experienced the same issues! I will ask them to report it to support as well.

  • @Sondra Berry Yes! Unfortunately, our Pushpage managers have reported this. BB support has replied that they are not able to reproduce the error and are a little at a loss without more documentation, such as providing a .har file from the browser's dev tools when the issue arises.

    I am going to add a link into my reply on my case to this Community conversion. Hopefully that will bump up of the level of importance of these errors.

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg I noticed it happens most often when I time out, so I have taken to saving CONTINUOUSLY! It has also happened when I impersonated someone else on another browser tab, so I try not to do that while working on pushpages.

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg Yes, our communications team report that it is still happening, though they are saving obsessively to prevent it.

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg We submitted a ticket and this was the response:

    "The Pushpage is currently running on an older system called "Podium" that has been known to cause timeout issues even while the Pushpage is being actively worked on, effectively logging you out. We have been actively working on phasing out Podium over time, and are gradually continuing to update the areas of the software where it is still active.

    Currently, we suggest saving your work frequently (every 10 - 15 minutes or so) to prevent any loss of work, and continue working as normal. "

    Really? They have been working on phasing out Podium for as long as we have been with this platform, 9 years! This is unacceptable.

    Our Communications office has been having a lot of problems lately with Pushpage and saving content.

    Someone on another discussion thread regarding the same issue said they created a new pushpage template and it solved the problem. They indicated they re-create their pushpage templates each year. That is A LOT of work when I think Blackbaud could solve the problem.
